Sunrise Cafe had been widely and enthusiastically recommended in several expats forum, so we arrived with high expectations. And boy, it did not disappoint. The food is great, as well as the service, but what gives this place its homey and comfortable atmosphere is Frank. After 10 mins at our table, we already felt like old timers. We went every day of our short one-week visit to Cuenca and it became the highlight of our trip. So, head on over! And thank you Frank!!!!

I had the fish n' chips and they were delicious! The fish was light and tender with a crispy batter and the fries were perfectly prepared. Really, you can't go wrong at Sunrise Cafe. I've never had a meal I didn't like here.
Love the place and the staff! And the food is wonderful. The weekly specials are always a treat!
